Lot of Taste
Nimmanahaemin
08:00 - 22:00
I happened to discover a cafe with a polished mood in the middle of Nimmanhaemin's lively streets in Chiang Mai, and from the moment I stepped inside, the place gave off a distinctly refined atmosphere. The high ceilings and open interior created an energy that felt both stylish and calm. Even before sitting down, the subtle coffee aroma inside had already raised my expectations for the drinks. When I looked around for a place to work, the layout felt more interesting than I expected. There were a few small tables good for a brief stop, but the large shared wooden table in the center was clearly the best spot for opening a laptop and focusing. I visited around lunchtime on a pleasant day, and almost every seat was taken. After stepping outside for a quick cigarette and coming back in, I was lucky enough to find an open seat at the exact large table I wanted. The thing I liked most was the stable internet connection. It felt comfortable even during video calls or when uploading large video files to the cloud. That said, it seemed impossible to use power outlets from any seat on the first floor. I would recommend coming with a fully charged battery or only planning a shorter stay. Their signature soft latte was excellent, with smooth cream wrapping around a rich espresso underneath. More importantly for me, the cafe stays open until 10 p.m., which made it one of my favorite places to visit after dinner since many cafes in Chiang Mai tend to close early. The staff do not really smile. That does not mean they are unfriendly. They consistently handled my requests without issues and clearly work hard to keep the cafe clean at all times. Rather than relying on flashy tricks, this is a place devoted to the pure quality of the coffee and the sense of immersion created by the space, and that experience stayed with me for quite a while.
