This cafe feels like a hidden gem tucked inside the grounds of Chiang Mai University's agriculture faculty. Surrounded by campus greenery and the calm view of experimental fields, it is one of the first places that comes to mind when I want to step away from the city and focus quietly for a while. The moment I walk in, warm sunlight through the front windows mixes with the scent of wood and coffee, and the whole room immediately slows my thoughts down. The interior has a clean wooden look that feels somewhere between Japanese and Nordic. With its high ceiling and open view, it stays comfortable even during a long visit. My favorite seats are the bar seats by the window, where I can open a laptop and look out over the green fields as if I were working in the middle of nature. Power outlets are easy to access, and the tables are at a practical height, so the setup works very well for solo work. The signature dirty coffee is the drink that stood out most to me. The contrast between cold milk and a rich espresso shot gives it a full flavor from the first sip to the last. I also liked having it with a banana chocolate chip muffin, which had just enough sweetness to make sense during a work session. Another pleasure here is being able to choose from several specialty beans for drip coffee, which makes the place especially satisfying for people who genuinely care about coffee. There are a few things to keep in mind. Because it is on campus, the cafe can fill up with students during exam periods or at certain hours, and finding a seat is not always easy then. The room also has some echo, so once it gets busy it can feel livelier than expected. Free Wi-Fi is limited to two hours per drink, which means a longer stay may require another order or a personal hotspot. The restroom is also outside the cafe and a bit of a walk away, which feels less convenient on rainy days or when carrying a lot of things. Even with those trade-offs, the peaceful mood and consistently strong coffee make this place worth returning to. It feels very different from the louder cafe clusters around Nimmanhaemin or the more obvious tourist stops. Instead, it gives me the feeling of having found a quiet base inside local student life where I can focus without much friction. On days when I want to think clearly or work through a backlog with fresh air and greenery nearby, this cafe easily exceeds expectations.
