This cafe stands right across from Wat Phra Singh, and the red-brick facade makes it easy to notice even before I step inside. Once I open the door, the deep smell of coffee and the airy ceiling immediately slow my pace. More than just a stylish cafe, the place feels grounded in a clear story about northern Thai coffee, which gives the room more character than a typical old-town stop. The first floor revolves around a large round bar, so I can naturally watch the baristas move through each drink order. When I take a seat upstairs by the window, the view back over the cafe and the street outside feels calm without becoming dull. The interior mixes a modern loft structure with warmer vintage details, so the mood lands somewhere between polished and relaxed. As a place to work, it feels usable but not effortless. The Wi‑Fi is stable enough for light tasks, but finding a power outlet is difficult, so I would not come here with a low battery and expect to stay for hours. The seats themselves are comfortable enough, yet peak hours can get crowded and noticeably louder, which makes the cafe better for short writing sessions, reading, or catching up on messages than for deep concentration all afternoon. The coffee is strong enough to justify the reputation. Their dirty coffee is especially memorable, with cold milk and hot espresso meeting in a way that feels rich, nutty, and full-bodied from the first sip. If I want something brighter, the single-origin drip options are a better fit. A slice of lemon pound cake works well on the side because the citrus keeps the coffee from feeling too heavy. Overall, this cafe is one of the better places in Chiang Mai when I want to taste local specialty coffee in a space that still feels thoughtfully designed. The main trade-off is practical rather than aesthetic: charging devices is difficult, and the room can get busy later in the day. Even so, it is an easy place to recommend when I want to finish a short block of work and reward myself with a genuinely good cup.
